denza byds luxury line set to launch in india on november 13

BYD has officially announced the launch date for its luxury brand, Denza, in India, which is scheduled for November 13, 2026. Following previous exclusive reports, it is anticipated that Denza will introduce two premium models: the Z9 GT shooting brake and the D9 luxury MPV. These vehicles are expected to fall into the high-end market segment, with prices positioned above ₹80 lakh.

Denza’s initial offerings will include the Z9 GT, a standout model in terms of both performance and luxury. This all-electric shooting brake is projected to be priced between ₹1.2 crore and ₹1.5 crore. Equipped with a 122.5kWh battery and a sophisticated triple-motor configuration, the Z9 GT boasts an impressive combined output of 1,156 horsepower, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and achieve a top speed of 270 km/h.

In terms of range, the Z9 GT is rated for 600 km under the WLTP cycle and supports ultra-fast charging at rates of up to 1,500 kW. This allows the battery to go from a 10% to 97% charge in a mere nine minutes. Additionally, unique features such as ‘Compass Turn 360°’, which allows the vehicle to make a full rotation from a standstill, and the ‘crab walk’ capability for sideways movement further enhance its appeal.

Denza D9: A Competitor in the Luxury MPV Segment

The D9 is set to compete with established luxury MPVs like the MG M9 and the Toyota Vellfire. This model will be powered by a 103kWh battery and features a front-mounted motor delivering 313 horsepower and 360 Nm of torque. The D9’s WLTP range is estimated at 520 km, and it supports DC charging at a maximum rate of 200 kW.

Inside, the D9 is designed with comfort in mind, offering second-row captain’s chairs with electric adjustments, heating, ventilation, and massage functions. It also includes three-zone climate control, high-quality leather upholstery, ambient lighting, and numerous other luxurious features. The anticipated price for the D9 is around ₹90 lakh, with all prices being ex-showroom in India.
