Bihar Police Constable (Operator) registration window 2026: The Bihar Police Constable (Operator) Registration window for 2026 will close today, March 31, 2026. Interested candidates can apply for the posts through the official website, csbc.bihar.gov.in. The recruitment for the Bihar Police Radio (Technical) Cadre posts will take place through an online recruitment process by the Central Selection Board of Constables (CSBC). The recruitment will fill 933 posts. The window for registration started on March 1, 2026. Candidates should also pay the required fees by March 31, 2026.The posts have been allocated for different categories. The posts allocated for each category are: Unreserved – 408, Economically Weaker Section – 99, Scheduled Caste – 157, Scheduled Tribe – 10, Extremely Backward Class – 175, Backward Class – 113, Backward Class Women – 31. Reservation for women candidates has also been made.

Bihar Police Constable 2026: Eligibility criteria

Candidates applying for the posts must have passed Intermediate (10+2) in the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. A minimum of 50 per cent marks is required for general category candidates, while SC and ST applicants must secure at least 45 per cent.The age limit for unreserved category candidates is set between 18 and 25 years as on August 1, 2026. Age relaxation will be applicable for reserved categories in accordance with existing rules.

Application fee

The application fee has been fixed at Rs. 100 for all categories. Payment can be made online through BHIM UPI, net banking, or debit cards.

Selection process

The recruitment process will be carried out in three phases. The phases are a written examination, followed by a Physical Efficiency Test, and lastly a document verification process.The written examination will comprise 100 objective-type questions for a total of 100 marks and will be conducted over a period of two hours. A negative marking of 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The questions will be based on Intermediate-level subjects such as General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.The candidates who clear the written examination will be shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test. The Physical Efficiency Test will comprise running, high jump, and shot put. The physical standards of the candidates will be checked by measuring the height and chest of male candidates and a minimum weight of 48 kg for female candidates. The document verification process will take place simultaneously.

Salary and posting

Selected candidates will be appointed at Pay Level 3, with a salary ranging from Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month. Additional allowances and benefits will be provided as per Bihar Police norms. All postings will be within the state of Bihar.
