Trump’s Rebranding of AI Sparks Surge in Slovenian Domain Registrations
Donald Trump’s proposal to rename AI as “super intelligence” has triggered an extraordinary increase in the registration of Slovenian domain names, according to the country’s national registry. The rise in registrations, which saw a jump from under 2,000 in August to 44,000 in September, reflects the impact of Trump’s remarks made during his UN speech. The executive order he signed directs US government agencies to adopt this new terminology, although it has sparked some online mockery due to a spelling error in the order.
