2027 kawasaki ninja 650 unveiled

Kawasaki has officially introduced the latest iteration of the Ninja 650 for 2027, marking its debut in the UK market. This new model showcases significant mechanical upgrades and presents fresh color choices for enthusiasts.

Among the key highlights, the 2027 Ninja 650 boasts enhanced front brake components and a revamped suspension system, making it a noteworthy upgrade from its predecessor.

Key Enhancements in the 2027 Ninja 650

The 2027 model features an upgraded braking system, which now includes radially-mounted 4-piston calipers, a distinct improvement over the previous model’s axially-mounted 2-piston calipers. This change is anticipated to enhance both braking performance and rider feedback.

In addition, the conventional 41mm telescopic fork has been replaced with a 37mm separate function upside-down (USD) fork. Kawasaki claims this swap contributes to better handling and stability, particularly when entering corners.

Additional Features and Specifications

The Ninja 650’s updated features also encompass a new 4.3-inch TFT instrument display. As for color options, buyers can now choose between Matte Grey and Lime Green, adding a touch of personalization to the bike.

Powering this model remains a 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, capable of generating 68 horsepower and 64Nm of torque, which is paired with a 6-speed transmission. The existing 2026 Ninja 650 is available in India for Rs 7.91 lakh (ex-showroom), but details regarding the arrival of the updated model in the Indian market are yet to be disclosed.

Meanwhile, in the UK, the 2027 Ninja 650 is priced at £7,499 (approximately Rs 8.16 lakh), maintaining the same price point as its predecessor. If Kawasaki adopts a similar pricing strategy for the Indian market, the new Ninja 650 could be launched without a significant increase in cost.
