This strategic acquisition is valued at an enterprise rate of 2.56 billion euros and involves purchasing the company from Igneo Infrastructure Partners.
Details of the Acquisition
The Indian port giant, APSEZ, declared that the deal will be executed as an all-cash transaction, attributing an equity value of 1.18 billion euros to Evos. The acquisition is based on an acquisition multiple of 11.7 times the EV/EBITDA for the calendar year 2025.
In 2025, Evos reported revenues of 392 million euros and an EBITDA of 219 million euros, which reflects an EBITDA margin of 56 percent. This acquisition is a significant step for APSEZ as it expands its presence across vital global liquid storage and energy hubs.
Financing and Strategic Intent
APSEZ plans to fund this acquisition through debt, and the transaction is contingent upon receiving necessary regulatory approvals and completing consultations with the works council. The deal underscores APSEZ’s commitment to supporting Europe’s sustainable energy transition while maintaining financial discipline.
Karana Adani, the managing director of APSEZ, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “We are delighted to welcome Evos into our portfolio, giving us a significant presence across key global liquid storage and energy hubs.” He further emphasized the company’s aim to create enduring value while adhering to financial prudence.
Regulatory Approvals and Future Outlook
The acquisition is subject to regulatory and other necessary approvals, which are standard in such large-scale transactions. Once completed, this acquisition will enhance APSEZ’s capabilities in the energy and liquid storage sectors, aligning with its strategic growth objectives.
This move by APSEZ is expected to bolster its global footprint and facilitate a stronger partnership with Europe in its pursuit of sustainable energy solutions. The acquisition of Evos marks a significant milestone for APSEZ, further solidifying its position as a leading player in the global port and storage industry.
