aston martin valhalla spider a closer look at the latest luxury supercar

The Aston Martin Valhalla Spider, a remarkable addition to the luxury supercar segment, showcases a stunning design and impressive specifications. This roofless variant of the mid-engine plug-in hybrid supercar is touted to be Aston Martin’s fastest open-top model to date.

Design Features

One of the key design elements of the Valhalla Spider is its carbon-fibre dihedral doors, which retain the frameless look introduced in the Coupe version. Measuring 4,728mm in length with a wheelbase of 2,760mm, the Spider offers both style and performance.

The interior is equipped with dual 10.25-inch screens, complemented by extensive use of exposed carbon fibre. Standard features include carbon-fibre Touring seats, although customers can opt for the seats from the Coupe at no extra charge. The brand’s Q division allows for customization, including tinted carbon finishes and bespoke interior materials.

Performance and Specifications

Under the hood, the Valhalla Spider shares the same powerful setup as its Coupe counterpart, featuring a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired with three electric motors that collectively produce 1,079 horsepower. This impressive configuration enables the supercar to reach speeds of up to 350kph when the roof is down.

The car is designed for enhanced aerodynamics, featuring a clip-in wind deflector that helps manage airflow when the roof is removed. Additionally, a revised roof scoop rises 35mm higher than that of the Coupe. The active rear wing is capable of lifting by 255mm in ‘Race’ mode, further enhancing performance.

Driving Experience and Features

The Aston Martin Valhalla Spider is equipped with four distinct drive modes, including electric motors for reversing, ensuring a versatile driving experience. The supercar is fitted with bespoke Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tyres mounted on forged wheels, and carbon-ceramic brakes come standard, providing exceptional stopping power.

Aston Martin anticipates that the Valhalla Spider will achieve a remarkable 0-100kph acceleration in just 2.5 seconds. For potential buyers, a fabric roof is standard across most markets, while a carbon-fibre hard-top can be purchased as an optional upgrade. Global deliveries of this high-performance vehicle are expected to commence in the third quarter of 2027.
