BMW has unveiled the F 450 RR, marking the launch of its third motorcycle utilizing the 450 platform. Similar to its predecessors, the F 450 GS and F 450 R, the F 450 RR is available in four distinct variants. However, details regarding their availability and pricing in India remain uncertain at this time. For those considering a purchase of the F 450 RR, it is essential to understand the unique features that differentiate each variant.

Base Variant Overview

The most fundamental option is simply named the Base. This model is offered in a sleek Cosmic Black hue. It is equipped with a range of advanced features including dual-channel and cornering ABS, traction control, and a slip-and-assist clutch. Additionally, it boasts a 6.5-inch TFT display, wheelie control, and three selectable riding modes: Rain, Road, and Race. Riders can also enjoy heated grips, dynamic brake control, and engine drag torque control. The Base variant features an adjustable monoshock for preload and rebound, while the USD fork remains non-adjustable.

Exclusive Variant Features

The Exclusive variant presents a striking Racing Red color option. Building upon the features of the Base variant, this model introduces a bi-directional quickshifter and an upgraded Sport suspension. The Sport suspension allows for adjustments to both compression and rebound in the USD fork, enhancing the riding experience.

M Sport Variant Enhancements

Next in line is the M Sport variant, which is available in the unique Snaefell white / M Motorsport color scheme. This version includes an additional riding mode known as Race Pro. This mode provides users with the ability to customize control systems, including ABS and traction control, to suit personal preferences.

Top-of-the-Line M Sport with Innovation Package

The pinnacle of the range is the M Sport with Innovation Package, which shares the Snaefell white / M Motorsport color with the previous variant. This model introduces BMW’s Easy Ride Clutch (ERC) system, which first appeared on the F 450 GS’s GS Trophy variant. The ERC system allows for clutchless gear shifts, making the use of the clutch optional for both upshifts and downshifts, thus enhancing rider convenience.

Engine and Common Specifications

All variants of the BMW F 450 RR are powered by a 420cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, delivering an output of 48 horsepower at 8,750 rpm and torque of 43 Nm at 6,750 rpm. They are equipped with a KYB 43mm USD fork, an adjustable monoshock, and adjustable brake and clutch levers. The braking system across all models features a Brembo 310mm front disc coupled with a four-piston monobloc caliper, and a Bybre 240mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper. Additionally, each variant is equipped with a Type-C USB port for charging devices on the go.
