Suzuki has revealed its plans for a new direct-injection turbocharged engine aimed at emerging markets like India, including specifications for a 1.2-litre prototype. The engine is designed for compatibility with E100, CNG, and CBG fuels, with a focus on high fuel efficiency and performance. Additional developments include a series-hybrid powertrain and a 1.5-litre engine also in the works.
