ISLAMABAD: Authorities in the capital successfully rescued four Chinese nationals who had been abducted for ransom following a confrontation with a group of criminals.
The operation began when a suspect was apprehended in connection with a case filed at the Shalimar Police Station. During his interrogation by the local robbery and dacoity unit, he revealed crucial details about the kidnapping.
The suspect admitted that he and his accomplices had taken the four Chinese individuals from the F-10/4 area with the intention of demanding ransom. After the abduction, the victims were moved to a dairy farm located in the Bangial region, where they were held captive. Reports indicated that negotiations were underway regarding the ransom amount for their release. The suspect also offered to guide the police to the location where the victims were being held.
Police Operation and Encounter
In response to the information provided by the suspect, a specialized police team was formed to carry out a raid on the dairy farm. Upon arrival, the officers quickly secured the area surrounding the farm. However, the kidnappers inside the facility opened fire on the police, creating chaos in the vicinity.
The police returned fire, leading to a tense standoff. Eventually, the law enforcement officials managed to apprehend two of the kidnappers who were stationed near the captives in a separate room within the farm.
Upon searching the premises, the police found the four Chinese nationals safely and brought them into protective custody. Following this, four additional kidnappers were arrested, and various weapons were confiscated from them. Unfortunately, the gang’s leader was able to evade capture during the incident.
This successful operation demonstrates the commitment of law enforcement in Islamabad to tackle criminal activities and ensure the safety of foreign nationals within the country.
