Turkish Authorities Conduct Widespread Raids Targeting LGBTQ+ Community
Turkish police have detained 47 individuals in raids targeting gay bars and the homes of LGBTQ+ activists, as part of a campaign called “My Family is Safe.” Human rights groups accuse the government of using this initiative to suppress the LGBTQ+ community, amid rising discrimination against same-sex relationships in the country.
