The iconic 350cc Bonneville range from Triumph has been officially introduced in India, utilizing the same liquid-cooled single-cylinder platform as other models within the ‘400’ series. The lineup consists of three distinct variants: the T4, T40, and T40 Black. While the T4 is tailored specifically for the Indian market, the T40 and T40 Black are intended for global distribution. Below is a detailed overview of each variant.
Detailed Overview of Bonneville Variants
Starting with the Bonneville T4, this model serves as the entry-level option exclusive to India, priced at ₹2.55 lakh, which is ₹25,000 lower than the T40. Although it shares the same mechanical architecture with the T40, it features a simplified electronic system. The T4 comes equipped with a color LCD display instead of the T40’s advanced 4-inch TFT screen, and it lacks features like cruise control and an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). Consequently, the T4 is equipped with standard dual-channel ABS instead of lean-sensitive ABS. Available color options include solid green, black, and red, with deliveries anticipated to start in the second week of January 2027.
Next is the Bonneville T40, which retails at ₹2.80 lakh and represents the standard model for international markets. This variant introduces a new round 4-inch color TFT display and offers five riding modes: Road, Rain, Eco, and two fully customizable options. The T40 includes features such as traction control, cruise control, and the more advanced lean-sensitive ABS. Its Heritage display layout offers a nostalgic design, and when paired with the Triumph Navigation app, it provides turn-by-turn navigation on the console. Deliveries for the T40 are scheduled to commence in November 2026.
Identical in pricing to the T40 at ₹2.80 lakh, the Bonneville T40 Black shares the same comprehensive feature set but distinguishes itself with a sleek blacked-out aesthetic for its engine and cycle components. The expected delivery timeline for the T40 Black is also set for November 2026.
Technical Specifications Across the Range
All three variants of the Bonneville share a modified 350cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. This engine has been enhanced with a revised cylinder head, smaller throttle bodies, dedicated camshafts, and a new peashooter exhaust system. It generates an output of 29 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 31.2 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm, focusing on delivering robust performance in the low and mid-range torque spectrum. The chassis design is uniform across the models, featuring a newly designed all-rear frame with a welded subframe and tubular steel swingarm, complemented by a 43mm right-side-up fork and twin rear shock absorbers.
The braking system comprises a 310mm front disc paired with a twin-piston axial caliper and a 255mm rear disc with a single-piston caliper, ensuring effective stopping power across the range.
